VPC Lightning Talks

in Events

Finding time to grow your skills, attend a conference and network can be a challenge in today’s busy world.

VPC wants to help. You — our members — have a wide range of experience and skill sets, so we asked you to volunteer to give brief talks in which your share your expertise. We have four members, who will speak for eight minutes each with a few minutes at the end for questions or comments.

Speakers and topics include:

  • Patty Kruszewski: “Broke-Brain Mountain: Rewriting Life after Tragedy”
  • Sunni Brown: “Communicating Complex Information”
  • Bonnie Atwood: “How to Win Friends and Influence People with Autism”
  • Julie Campbell: “How Not to Write a Book”

We will meet on Thursday, Oct. 5, from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Libbie Mill Library, located at 2100 Libbie Lake East Street, off of Staples Mill Road, in Richmond. Here is the best part — it’s free! We’re also asking you to bring a guest (or two).

Afterward, we’ll go to the nearby Plaza Azteca, located at 6623 West Broad Street, Richmond, 23230, for dinner and more networking.
