Kenneth M. Jungersen, acclaimed author and professional adventurer,

Our facilitator Kenneth M. Jungersen, acclaimed author and professional adventurer, has spent years not only using LinkedIn, but also helping others maximize this social networking tool for professionals.

Once dubbed the “Modern Indiana Jones” by a local newspaper, Jungersen describes his background as diverse and well-traveled.

“From stalking through the South American rain forest with the natives to standing next to the catapults on the aircraft carrier USS George Washington, CVN-73, as air operations were conducted, my experiences are widely varied,” Jungersen explains. “I have led an archaeological project in Massachusetts to relocate a rune stone dated 1001 with the help of the U.S. Navy. “

Early in his career, Jungersen was involved with the development, testing, and patenting of various devices, including mining equipment, parachute releases, and a wheel-chair safety brake. Throughout his adult life, he has been a professional writer with credits ranging from multiple opinion pieces for The New York Times to his first book, ROUGH ICE.  He has also spent 20 years in leadership roles in the intellectual disability field.

And he’s maximized these many professional opportunities by showcasing them on his LinkedIn profile, an art he will share with workshop attendees. Learn more about Jungersen at https://www.linkedin.com/in/kenneth-jungersen/.

Immediately following the event, we invite VPC members to participate in a brainstorming session on membership recruitment. Pizza and drinks will be provided during this fast-paced session that will run from 5:45 to 6:30 p.m.

We hope to see you there. These events are free, but registration is required.
