Calling for 2015 Communication Contest Entries
Virginia Professional Communicators members are invited to submit work produced during the 2014 calendar year for the 2015 VPC Communications Contest, an online electronic communication contest. The contest is open to non-members as well.
To enter the contest, go to http://NFPW.org/CommunicationsContest.cfm. The new web page provides links for navigation to the information that will make entering easy for NFPW members and non-members alike. You can also download the 2015_NFPW_Contest_Divisions-and-Categories here as a pdf document.
Once you are on the contest Welcome (login) page, click the white REGISTER link in the upper left corner of the contest site. You will get an entrant form that prompts entrants to select “member” or “non-member” status, and choose Virginia Professional Communicators from the drop-down menu. Those selections will put you into the correct affiliate contest.
All directions needed to enter the contest are contained in the pages of the contest site, but if you have questions or need help entering, click the FAQ or Contact Us tabs on the contest navigation bar.
Please keep your username and password in a safe, easily accessible place. You will use the same username and password for the entire contest. You will not need to register each time you visit the site.
For VPC members, the entry fees are $25 for the first entry and $15 for each additional entry. For non-members, the fees are $50 for the first entry and $30 for each additional entry.
The deadline is 11:59 p.m. The contest site will close at midnight on:
- Monday, Feb. 2, 2015, for all hard-copy entries (categories 56 – 59B, 60B, 61B, and 64 only)
- Monday, Feb. 9, 2015, for all other entries.
Non-members who receive a first-place in the Virginia Communications Contest must join both the VPC and NFPW to have those entries compete on the national level.
