Libbie Mill Library Location for Fall Conference

VPC members will gather Nov. 2 at the Libbie Mill Library for the fall conference.

We’ll kick off the morning at 9:30 with coffee and networking. Contest chair and immediate past president Julie Campbell through her business Julie A. Campbell Writing & Editing is sponsoring coffee.

Sessions will focus on alternative news, digital archiving, and the communications contest. Learn more about the speakers here. During lunch we’ll hear about ways to grow our membership. Members will be encouraged to step up and help grow VPC.

Registration is $35 for members through Oct. 28. Non-members will pay $50. Anyone who joins VPC before Oct. 28 can get the member rate for the conference and would receive the remainder of 2019 and all of 2020 as part of their membership.

Shortly after you register, you will receive a follow-up email to choose from a variety of boxed lunches, which will include vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. If the options do not meet your dietary needs, please feel free to bring your own lunch.

The library provides tables and chairs, but the group has to set up the room. We’re seeking two members to help with setup and two members to help with take down.

To volunteer or if you have questions about the conference please contact Cynthia Price, development chair, at cynthiapricecp@gmail.com. She also is interested in your ideas for future speakers and from hearing from anyone who would like to host a conference outside of the Richmond area.
