Professional development, supporting freedom of the press and honoring the best in communications are the three pillars of the annual NFPW Professional Communications Conference. Our sessions are as diverse as our membership — professional women and men pursuing careers across the communications spectrum.

Sessions at past conferences have included crisis communications, social media skills, memoir writing, branding yourself and leadership. During two separate evening banquets, we honor our NFPW Communicator of Achievement and the winners in our national Communications Contest.

Enjoy extra time at conferences to learn about the conference city and state. Members of the host affiliate organize tours before and after the conference. Recent tours have included behind-the-scenes access to Graceland and the Johnson Space Center, as well as guided trips to Arches National Park in Utah and the Gulf Shore of Alabama.
